Whether you are newly diagnosed or simply in need of more information about diabetes,
a new website created by UCSF's Diabetes Teaching Center can help.
The contents of the website, which mirror a successful teaching program given to thousands of patients at UCSF over the last 30 years, have been organized into modules and further subdivided into sections that allow for easy breaks and ready reference.
Diabetes management is unique to each individual, so while you can gain some concepts and ideas from the site, you need to work with your own health care team to develop a personal plan of care.
Because UCSF is a research institution, advances in diabetes science and care will likely happen here first. As a result, the website will be updated as new insights and discoveries translate into new approaches for managing diabetes.
