Brazil (Brasil!) Running Away with UCSF World Cup Poll

By Jeff Miller

Team Ronaldinho, otherwise known as Brasil, continues to build upon its early lead as UCSF's World Cup favorite in ucsf.edu's World Cup Mania poll. Of the more than 50 votes cast, 17 have lined up in the column of the green-and-yellow clad South Americans. England has now pulled ahead of Germany 7 to 6, perhaps because of the latest German poll that showed that few citizens of the host county think their team has any chance at all. Korea has come on strong with five votes and the USA has picked up one for a grand total of four. Happily, one voter has chosen Forza Azzurri, Italy's national team, and this reporter's favorite.
