UCSF Chancellor Mike Bishop presented the UCSF Medal, the University's most prestigious award, to four individuals on April 27.
Medalists are Jane Brody, personal health columnist for the New York Times, Andrew S. Grove, senior advisor of Intel Corporation and president of The Grove Foundation, Rudi Schmid, professor emeritus and former dean of the UCSF School of Medicine, and Maxine F. Singer, president emerita of Carnegie Institution of Washington.
