UCSF seeks public comment about future of UCSF Medical Center

UCSF is planning a series of public meetings to discuss the future of UCSF
Medical Center.

New facilities are needed in order to meet the growing demand for specialized care and upcoming deadlines for new state-mandated seismic safety standards. The meeting agenda will cover the planning efforts to date, and the public is invited to provide feedback about potential sites and alternatives. Meetings will be held at the following locations:

Tuesday, May 6, 2003
7 pm
UCSF Millberry Conference Center, 500 Parnassus Avenue, San Francisco
(Accessible via Muni lines 6, 43, 66, and N-Judah. The UCSF public parking garage—also located at 500 Parnassus—will offer a $3 rate for this meeting.)

Wednesday, May 14, 2003
7 pm
UCSF Mission Bay Campus - Genentech Hall - 600 16th Street, San Francisco
(Accessible via Muni line 15 to 16th and Mississippi Streets. Special UCSF shuttles will leave 401 Parnassus at 6:25 pm, 4th Street and Market next to Old Navy at 6:30 pm, and 16th and Mission next to Payless Shoes at 6:35 pm. For parking, enter off 16th Street, east of Genentech Hall.)
