Genentech Hall
landmark for a new era
The
first Mission Bay building to be completed, Genentech Hall
is—in design, construction, physical layout and technological
capacities—a harbinger of the interactive science of the
21st century. Built to facilitate the most sophisticated basic
science research, it houses the Molecular Design Institute and
the Center for Advanced Technology as well as programs in structural
and chemical biology; molecular, cell and developmental biology;
and advanced microscopy. Bringing together the most advanced technologies
and outstanding UCSF investigators, Genentech Hall promises
to drive the next advances in biomedical science and bring new
therapies to those in need.

Genentech Hall offers a number of major naming opportunities,
including a five-story glass-walled atrium,
full- and half-floor research pavilions and a high-tech satellite
