S. Andrew Josephson, MD

Dr. Josephson is a stroke neurologist who completed residency and fellowship training at UCSF. After additional fellowship training in behavioral neurology at UCSF, his research interests have focused on cognitive impairment following stroke and other neurologic illnesses. Dr. Josephson cares for patients with neurovascular and other neurologic disorders both in our Neurological ICU as well as on the ward. He also sees patients in his stroke clinic.

Dr. Josephson's research interests include

  • Cognitve impairment after stroke
  • The contribution of stroke to dementia
  • Quality hospital care of patients with neurological disorders
