Dear Valued Contributor:
We are very pleased to introduce a new member to our team at UCSF Oral
Pathology Biopsy Service. Dr.
Darren Cox joins this service as an oral and maxillofacial
pathologist beginning March 1, 2005
.
Darren comes to us from the University of Pittsburgh where he was the
Director of the Oral Pathology Biopsy Service. He has superb
credentials, having trained in oral and maxillofacial pathology at
Emory University Hospital where he had experience with a large range of
challenging head and neck pathology material. At
the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Darren had the opportunity
to work closely with Dr. Leon Barnes, a recognized expert in the
field of head and neck pathology.
We are fortunate to have recruited Darren to UCSF and know that he will
have a positive impact on the services we provide to you.
We are also pleased to introduce other enhancements to our services:
1. We will be increasing the frequency of our direct immunofluorescence
(DIF) biopsy processing to weekly. We hope that this increased
frequency will provide you with a more reliable and rapid solution to
your DIF diagnostic needs. Please call us for transport media and forms.
2. Our biopsy requisition form is now available for download from this
web site. This form is a PDF file for direct downloading and
completion. In the future you will be able to complete the form
directly online.
We appreciate your continued support of our biopsy
services and are committed to supporting you and your patients
in every way possible. Please do not hesitate to call our office
at (415) 476-4866 if
you have
any questions.
Sincerely,
Richard C.K. Jordan, DDS, PhD, FRCDC, Laboratory Director
Darren P. Cox, DDS, MBA
John S. Greenspan, BDS, PhD, FRCPath
