Oral Research Consortium Career Development
Program Director: Dr. John Greenspan
The Faculty Transition Program supports new and recent DDS/PhDs and similar
up-and-coming scientists for up to five years of mentored postdoctoral and junior
faculty development.
The program consists of two phases:
- The Scholar Development Phase, in which the grant supports outstanding new
clinician researchers or scientists with a clinically relevant PhD degree
to obtain additional mentored postdoctoral research experience that leads
to research independence;
- The Faculty Transition phase in which the individual is appointed to a tenure
track line or equivalent position, followed by funding for an independent
research project.
