Harrison Liu and Veronica Pessino: Building Future Scientists – with LEGO Bricks

Harrison (PhD candidate, Bioengineering) and Veronica (PhD candidate, Biophysics)

Harrison (PhD candidate, Bioengineering) and Veronica (PhD candidate, Biophysics) are students who tackle difficult-to-teach scientific topics in a new and innovative way - using LEGO bricks! LegoScope was invented as a way to make middle and high-school optics education intuitive, approachable, and, most importantly, fun!  Harrison and Veronica bring the LegoScope to various local schools and events, such as the Bay Area Science Festival, to spark the imaginations of budding scientists.
