UCSF Development & Alumni Relations Launches Crowdfunding Platform

UCSF Development & Alumni Relations has recently launched our very own crowdfunding platform on https://crowdfund.ucsf.edu.

We aim to democratize funding by allowing faculty and staff to connect directly with lay funders; to promote the diversity of research and health-sciences programs happening across the UCSF enterprise; and to uncover new individual and institutional philanthropists to support the exciting work happening every day at UCSF. To date, we have raised more than $50,000 from nine unique crowdfunding campaigns.

Crowdfunding is successful when it's PERSONAL. We are encouraging researchers and clinicians who, with a campaign team, will develop and produce campaigns on the platform (including video) and personally promote funding opportunities to their own personal and professional networks throughout a 30- to 60-day campaign. If you can meet these basic requirements, and have the support of your department leadership, please contact us to begin a discussion about a potential campaign in 2014.
