Faculty Observe January as National Mentoring Month

In recognition of January as National Mentoring Month, the UCSF Academic Affairs website is highlighting both those who have mentored and those who have been mentored. Mentoring is a critical component of career advancement and satisfaction for all health sciences faculty. "Our vision is for all UCSF faculty to feel supported in their pursuit of a successful and satisfying career," says Director of Faculty Mentoring, Mitchell Feldman, MD, MPhil. The UCSF Faculty Mentoring Program is recognizing the importance of mentoring by showcasing the impact that mentors and mentees have had on the lives of UCSF faculty. Stories will be posted on the Academic Affairs website and a mentoring pin will be sent to the honored mentor or mentee. Email your stories and a photo (optional) to Heather Nichols. The website also will post a mentoring tip of the week.
