Bay Area artist Rebeca Bollinger will talk about her DVD projection piece at Laurel Heights on Tuesday, July 26. The campus community is invited to meet the artist and to learn more about the creation of "Permanent Slide Show," at a reception from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. on July 26 at the View Café, second floor, UCSF Laurel Heights, 3333 California St. Bollinger will make a brief presentation about the art work at 4 p.m. Bollinger was commissioned by UCSF to create the large-scale projection piece specifically for the main lobby at Laurel Heights. The work was officially unveiled on July 5. The projection piece features layers of photos from both Laurel Heights and Parnassus campuses, where Bollinger spent a few months capturing 10,000 images of campus life and objects, from children at play to beakers in a research laboratory.
