Each member of the UCSF news team oversees a wide array of beats, serving as the first point of contact for reporters seeking experts and faculty and staff seeking public relations advice. Faculty seeking coverage of pending papers should alert the appropriate representative as soon as a paper has been accepted by a journal, in order to allow time for a UCSF news release to be drafted. With only rare exceptions, news releases will only be written if they can be issued under embargo, at least three days in advance of publication, in order to encourage media coverage. Click on the subject list below to determine which public information professional to contact. For areas outside of these beats, please email or call News Assistant, Melanie Williams, (email@example.com or 415-502-6397).
