- California Institute for Quantitative Biosciences
- California Institute for Quantitative Biosciences, or QB3, became the third life sciences research building to open at UCSF Mission Bay. The $100 million, five-story, 153,000-square-foot building, which is connected to Genentech Hall, serves as headquarters to a collaborative venture with UCSF, UC Berkeley and UC Santa Cruz. The building opened in March 2005.

This building will serve as headquarters of the institute, which is being led by UCSF in partnership with UC Berkeley and UC Santa Cruz. Total project costs are estimated at $100 million.
