The UCSF School of Pharmacy—the top-ranked pharmacy school in the United States—has a long tradition of groundbreaking discoveries and innovations. Faculty here were the first to train pharmacists as drug therapy specialists, the first to accurately calculate how quickly drugs are metabolized through the body and the first to develop an efficient method of delivering genes into cells in order to treat diseases using gene therapy.

Today, the science of pharmacy is changing at an incredibly rapid pace.
