Graduate Divisions
a unique focus
The Graduate Division at UCSF was established in 1961 to offer
opportunities for graduate study in biology, pharmaceutical chemistry,
nursing and health-related social sciences.
The Graduate Division incorporates courses from UCSF’s
four professional Schools and offers innovative degree programs,
several of which consistently rank among the finest in the nation.
Their distinction attracts outstanding students from around the
world, who work with UCSF’s peerless faculty to improve
human health, shape health-care systems and influence public health
education.
Private support plays a vital role in creating and enhancing
these exceptional courses of study. For information on the Graduate
