Community Clinics
serving the underserved
Each
of UCSF’s Schools is dedicated to serving the needs of the
local community with free and low-cost clinics throughout San
Francisco:
- The School of Dentistry operates 14 clinics at two San Francisco
sites, providing more than 120,000 patient visits per year.
Comprehensive dental care services are provided for people on
public assistance and/or fixed incomes and the working poor.
- The School of Medicine operates several clinics in downtown
San Francisco to bring free physical exams and vision and hearing
screenings to the homeless and needy
- The School of Nursing provides care to indigent and disadvantaged
populations through a variety of community programs, including
Valencia Health Services, the Young Women’s Program and
the Glide Clinic
- The School of Pharmacy’s California Poison Control
System manages more than 300,000 cases each year, the majority
of which involve children under age five
Gifts to these priorities will fund much-needed equipment and
supplies and allow UCSF to continue this valuable work. To support UCSF’s community clinics, contact:
