Perinatal Death Data
FHOP has compiled a spreadsheet containing Perinatal Death Data for each county.  These spreadsheets contain data that properly meet the definition for indicator #8, Perinatal deaths, which had previously been satisfied using fetal death data.

Problem Analysis Diagram Examples
Help for the Problem Analysis section of your Needs Assessments!  FHOP has posted examples of problem analysis diagrams, as well as, a blank diagram form to assist counties with the problem analysis process. These are intended to help you brainstorm and identify precursors that are relevant to your county when the problem analysis is performed with your planning group.

New Title V Indicator Data
In case, you missed the last data alert, FHOP has added new MCH data resources to its website.  Data for indicators #14, Adequacy of prenatal care (Kotelchuck index), and #15, Breastfeeding, have been added.  Poverty, #26, has been updated to include census data from 1994-2000.

Spotlight

The California Perinatal Profiles section of the Improved Perinatal Outcome Data Reports (IPODR) website has recently been updated.  All tables and figures can now be downloaded in PDF format.  Content has been redesigned to allow for better assessment of progress toward Healthy People 2010 Objectives.  Data on this website is available at the county level and is a great resource to complement the data collected for your 5 Year Needs Assessments.
