Available on the FHOP website is Developing an Effective MCH Planning Process: A Guide for Local MCH Programs, Chapter 4. This chapter describes the intervention development process and how to develop and write objectives and performance measures. Check it out at: http://www.ucsf.edu/fhop/fhopplan.html. Because CDC released a new version of Epi2000, Epi20002, FHOP is revising EpiBC to be compatible with the new Epi2002. An announcement will be made once EpiBC 2002 is completed. The attached link takes you to the US Census Bureau website. It contains a simple query system that can be used to select state and county and the type of report for your county that you want. Reports include county level data on economic indicators, housing social characteristics, race/ethnicity, and census tract tables for each county on a wide variety of census items within these categories. Social, economic, and demographic year 2000 county population estimates by age group and race now available on the California Department of Finance website. The link below takes you to a page where you can select among a number of reports from the year 2000 census. Under Summary File 1, data tables from the short form have been constructed. The bullets connect you to county level reports on a wide variety of census data elements. The bullet named, "10-page Profiles," is an extensive collection of social, economic, and demographic census data elements. Another bullet named, "Population by Gender, Age, and Race," provides county level tables of population estimates by age group and race.
