    • Susan Desmond-Hellmann, UCSF’s chancellor-elect and former president of product development at Genentech.
    • J. Craig Venter, one of the premier scientists of the 21st century and the pioneer responsible for sequencing the human genome.
    • Frank McCormick, director of UCSF’s Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center and internationally renowned cancer researcher.
    • Brook Byers, partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, and a venture capital investor, entrepreneur and company builder since 1972.
