Memorial Service for Renee Sauers, Longtime UCSF Employee, Feb. 15 Renee E. Sauers, administrative director of postgraduate education for the department of radiology, died suddenly in San Mateo on January 11. Sauers, who was highly respected by her co-workers, came to UCSF in 1967 and worked in the department of extended programs in medical education from 1967-1978. She joined the department of radiology in 1978, and for more than 22 years managed the department’s postgraduate education section, the largest CME program at UCSF. Sauers coordinated more than 35 annual postgraduate courses held locally, nationally, and internationally and visiting fellowship programs that were attended by physicians throughout the United States. A native of San Francisco, Sauers is survived by her fiancée, Roger Strauss, her mother, Paula Trubow, her son John Sauers, and her brothers, George and Gary Trubow. Colleagues and friends are invited to a memorial commemorating the life of Renee Sauers on Thursday, Feb. 15, 3:30 p.m., in room N 225. The family requests donations, in lieu of flowers, to the Satellite Dialysis Center Finance Department, Satellite Health Care, 345 Convention Way, Suite B, Redwood City, CA 94063. |
