Electronic Communications Policy UC President Atkinson has signed the Electronic Communications Policy, which supersedes the 1998 University Electronic Mail Policy. The Electronic Communications Policy was developed by a task force representing each campus, representatives from the Office of the President, and the Academic Council. The Policy, which became effective Nov. 17, 2000, clarifies the applicability of existing law and University policies to all forms of electronic communications, extending the principles first articulated in the Electronic Mail Policy. It also addresses issues unique to electronic communications and not covered in existing policies. All members of the campus community are urged to become familiar with the policy. Visit the Information Technology Services (ITS) website for links to the policy, policy highlights, and the UCSF implementation procedures that are under development. For assistance, contact ITS Customer Support, 476-5523, or email. |
