Fashion Show/Auction to Benefit Cancer Center

Neiman Marcus will host a fall designer fashion show and auction to benefit the UCSF Comprehensive Cancer Center on Wednesday, October 11, 6 p.m., at San Francisco's Union Square. Ashley Judd is honorary chair of the event.

The show will feature the newest fashions from Chanel, John Galliano, Gianfranco Ferre, Jil Sander, Dolce & Gabbana, and others.

Among the auction items will be "A Once in a Lifetime Golfing Experience" for four with Tiger Wood’s golf coach Butch Harmon and his three brothers. They will offer a special day of instruction and a round of golf -- at the Bighorn Golf Club in Palm Desert -- and dinner for the entire group.

Other auction items include a travel package to either the Galapagos Islands or Anarctica, tickets to the Grammy Awards, and a private prerelease viewing of a Warner Brothers Pictures film at the new 24-seat screening room at the San Francisco Film Centre.

Tickets to the event are $125 a person, which includes a cocktail reception, buffet dinner and the auction following the fashion show.

For more information about the event and how to place an absentee bid for the auction, call 415/502-4337, or Jon Pierrucci at 476-4454.
