New Administrators to Discuss Accounting, Control and Audits The UCSF Academic Business Officers Group will present a session, "UCSF Accounting, Control and Auditing," on Wednesday, April 5, 12 to 2 p.m., in HSW 301. The session will feature Cindy Fenwick, assistant vice chancellor-Finance and controller, and Richard Layne, director, Audit. This is a good opportunity to meet two new important campus administrators and learn how to recognize possible trouble spots in your operation and how to improve your unit's financial controls. Fenwick will discuss the past, present, and future of the accounting department at UCSF. Layne will talk about the internal audit department, eight major risk areas, the process for auditing departments, and the new website from his area. Both speakers want to learn more about the campus from its managers and administrators, so the presentation has been designed to allow plenty of time for questions and answers. Link: |
