Medical Center Employees Must Sign Oath/Patent Form As the transition from UCSF Stanford back to UCSF winds down to the final days, there still are more than 270 Medical Center employees who have not signed the Oath/Patent form. As a reminder, the University of California requires all prospective employees to sign the State Oath of Allegiance Patent Policy and Patent Acknowledgment form prior to commencing employment. This form must be witnessed by a UCSF employee. There are only a few days left to obtain the signatures of these remaining 270-plus employees. A list of these employees has been sent to department managers, and the list is available by calling the Medical Center Human Resources Office at 353-4643. Supervisors and staff are urged to review the list so they can notify the employees who have not yet signed the form. Employees who have not signed the form by Friday, March 31 cannot work and will not be paid. Department managers and the Human Resources office also have a list of 70 oath deputies who can witness the signature. For those wishing to sign the form, there will be a "UC Deputy" at Parnassus, Nursing Administration (L-171), 6:30 to 8 p.m., Thursday and Friday (March 30 and 31). Employees may also go to the UCSF Transition Office in Room 310 at Laurel Heights, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. During the weekend, Marie DeCoux has volunteered to witness signatures in the Moffitt Cafeteria on Saturday and Sunday (April 1 and 2) between 6:30 and 7 p.m. |
