PositiveHealth Open House
An open house to welcome new members of the PositiveHealth team and celebrate a closer
collaboration between the world-renowned San Francisco General Hospital and Medical Center
and UCSF programs for people with HIV will be held on Thursday, April 1, 4-7 p.m., 4th
floor ACC, 400 Parnassus Avenue.
The event is open to the campus community and the public. It will be hosted by Amy
Kindrick and Paul Volberding.
The PositiveHealth Practice at UCSF brings together the expertise of Parnassus and SFGHMC
AIDS programs under the direction of Kindrick, and draws upon the expertise of Volberding,
John Stansell and others. Volberding and his colleagues established the PositiveHealth
program in 1983 as the UCSF AIDS Program at SFGHMC. PositiveHealth has been ranked as the
top program in the country for AIDS care by US News and World Report for six consecutive
years. This program can now be accessed at the UCSF Medical Center at Parnassus.
