1st appeared 12 August 1998 "Fool Moon" Production to Benefit UCSF Patients A special benefit performance of the American Conservatory Theater's (ACT) production "Fool Moon" will take place on Thursday, October 8, at 8 p.m. at the Geary Theatre, 415 Geary St., in San Francisco. "Fool Moon" is a humorous family show about the antics of two men whose mental welfare is affected by the moon. Sponsored by the UCSF Hospitals Auxiliary of UCSF Stanford Health Care, the production will star Bill Irwin and David Shiner of Pickle Family Circus and Cirque du Soleil. "Fool Moon" has received rave reviews on Broadway. A pre-show party which includes food champagne and an ACT guest speaker will take place at 6 p.m. at the Garret Room of the Geary Theater. Proceeds will benefit the 1998-99 Patient Amenities Projects Fund. This fund provides stuffed animals, videos, and educational games for children who are hospitalized, pagers for parents who have children in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, and artwork for patient rooms. Reservations are required to attend the event. Tickets for the pre-show party and show are $85.00. Tickets for the show are $50.00. Reservation deadline is September 10.
