Debas to Give "State of the School" Address on Monday

Dean Haile T. Debas will deliver his fifth annual State of the School Address on Monday, June 15 at 3 p.m. in N 217. As he prepares to return full-time to his position as dean in July, Debas will highlight the accomplishments and challenges of the past year and will talk about his priorities and vision for the future.

Immediately following the faculty address, he will host the third annual School of Medicine Honors and Awards Reception. This event, which was established in 1996 to highlight the special accomplishments of distinguished faculty, honors those who in the past year have received exceptional recognition. This includes fellows elected to the Institute of Medicine, the National Academy of Sciences, and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences; recipients of national and international prizes; and appointees to endowed chairs and distinguished professorships.

The reception is scheduled from 4 to 6 p.m. on the School of Nursing Mezzanine. All School of Medicine faculty are invited.
