Three "Schooled" in Campus Sites

Laguna Honda School BuildingThe three winners of this week's Daybreak contest are Frances Lee, Sharon Spencer and Donald Szeto. They said the mystery photo was of Laguna Honda School building on 7th Avenue and they were right (as were about 20 others).

If you lost out on winning a Daybreak mug, try again on Monday for another chance. In the meantime, here's some history:

The Laguna Honda School building is located four blocks from the Parnassus Heights campus and is leased from the San Francisco Unified School District. Located on 7th Avenue near Irving, this building contains 26,252 square feet and houses office-based social and behavioral sciences, psychiatry and administrative personnel offices. The Human Resources, Psychiatry, Development and Training, and Physiotherapy departments are the building's major occupants.

However, these units are expected to relocate to Laurel Heights.

The March 1996 UCSF Long Range Development Plan proposed that UCSF work with the San Francisco Unified School District to study the feasibility of retrofitting or rebuilding this leased facility to allow for reoccupancy after the current building occupants move to Laurel Heights.
