Than Ten Minutes of Fame Antisperm antibodies, boxers versus briefs, sperm count and motility: UCSF urologist and male fertility specialist Paul Turek tackled these subjects as he fielded more than 30 questions -- from as far away as Germany -- in an online chat with viewers of ABCs Good Morning America. They had just seen his interview with Joan Lunden and the networks report on a test, developed at UCSF, that determines if a non-moving sperm is "alive" rather than "dead" and capable of initiating pregnancy through in vitro fertilization (see yesterdays Daybreak story). Nearly 100 viewers logged in to query Turek about male fertility and new developments in the 60 minute chat from his VA Medical Center Office. 1st appeared 6/27/97 |
