About Us

Joanna Laffey

Joanna Laffey is the program coordinator for the UCSF Women's Health Resource Center. Joanna oversees the Great Expectations Pregnancy Program classes, and the new Mom Mobile program. She is responsible for developing, maintaining, and evaluating the 12 different perinatal classes. Joanna also serves on committees and task forces both within the organization and larger community to identify and solve problems, assess needs, coordinate services, and develop new programs and ideas. Laffey teaches the breastfeeding classes that are offered regularly through the Resource Center. Joanna has been with the Resource Center for 9 years, has a B.S. in Health Science and is certified as a Childbirth and Lactation Educator. Joanna is currently enrolled in the San Francisco State University's Master of Public Health Program.
