CHIPS is a multi-disciplinary research team that aims to improve health outcomes by conducting clinically-relevant behavioral research. We hope to better risk-behavior prevention by health care providers. Over the past 20 years, our research group has studied the attitudes and behaviors of health care providers and patients regarding HIV risk behaviors and other sensitive behavioral risk areas, such as domestic violence, substance use, obesity, and smoking.
