Idea to IPO...and Beyond (Biochem 241) teaches UCSF scientists and clinicians how to build commercial value from their research discoveries.
The course explores the “nuts and bolts” of building a successful business through lectures by industry leaders, in-depth practicums, and a team project to write a business plan. If you have an idea for a business, would like to join a team that does, or would like to understand more about the life sciences industry, this course is for you. This popular class is a fascinating and challenging learning experience for anyone who is contemplating starting a business or joining an entrepreneurial endeavor.
