Karin Rush-Monroe, interim deputy director at UCSF, is the lead for clinical initiatives and the UCSF Medical Center. She also covers health policy, women’s health and palliative care.  She previously directed internal and external communications for Aetna’s national clinical programs and its chief medical officer, and handled communications and special events for non-profit organizations including the American Cancer Society. Rush-Monroe holds a degree from Temple University (BS, Journalism).
