The School of Nursing Alumni Association Board of Directors
Help chart the course of the Alumni Association by joining the
School of Nursing Alumni Association Board of Directors. Made up of
alumni, students and faculty, the board meets regularly to plan events
and allocate support for a dozen annual student scholarships and
special awards such as the Jane Norbeck Distinguished Alumni Award.
If you would like to be a part of this important decision-making group, contact Danielle Gordon, Development and Alumni Relations Coordinator at the UCSF School of Nursing at 415/476-9160 or
dgordon@support.ucsf.edu.
Making the Connection Recruitment Program
The School of Nursing is pleased to announce Making the Connection, a recruitment program where current students and alumni are rewarded for referring nurses to our Masters and PhD programs (excluding MEPN). For every five completed applicants, the referrer will receive a $50 gift card, and the person who makes the most connections will get special recognition at the end of the year. The referrer will only get credit for candidates completing the entire application process. So let's start making connections!
For more information: Asha Reed, (415) 476·4810 or asha.reed@nursing.ucsf.edu (email). To record your referrals, use the forms at the links below.
Nursing Pizza Social
Meet our first-year nursing students at the Nursing Pizza Social, an annual gathering held at the School each fall.
For information, please contact Danielle Gordon, Development and Alumni Relations Coordinator at the UCSF School of Nursing at 415/476-9160 or

Join us for UC Day!
UC Day is the one time of the year when all UC alumni associations collectively come together with their alumni, donors and friends to carry their voice to Sacramento and discuss with their elected representatives issues of concern to the University. It's also the only time when the UC systemwide family comes together in one room to acknowledge UC's academic excellence and its contribution to the state.
Since no other group within the University - community faculty, administrators, or students - can be as effective as alumni and friends in reaching public officials and promoting the needs of UC, we hope you'll join us in March.
For more specific information go to: ucday.org or contact Nancy Newman at nnewman@support.ucsf.edu.
UCSF Advocacy Network
Become involved in political advocacy on behalf of the University by joining the UCSF Advocacy Network. Typical activities include lobbying on issues affecting the University and encouraging other alumni to join the effort.
You may sign up to be an advocate for UC at ucforcalifornia.org.
This website will also allow you to type in your zip code and in a few keystrokes send a letter on UC's behalf to the Governor and your state representatives. It only takes a minute—and your voice is needed.
To learn more, contact Alumni Coordinator Nancy Newman at nnewman@support.ucsf.edu. |
