When UCSF took possession of land at Mission Bay, cellular telephone equipment owned by T-Mobile and AT&T were located on a portion of the site of the now-closed golf driving range near the Mission Creek houseboat community. That equipment has been temporarily relocated, and UCSF is now proposing the permanent installation of cellular antennas on campus. UCSF will be notifying neighbors about this project as more details come available.

Additional Information about Mission Bay Campus

In the summer of 2008, T-Mobile temporarily relocated their antenna equipment to the rooftop of the Owens Street Garage, and is now proposing to permanently relocate their antenna equipment to the top of the UCSF Mission Bay housing complex, a project that is scheduled to begin in early 2011.

In addition, both AT&T and Verizon are proposing to install antenna equipment on the Mission Bay campus. These projects are anticipated to take place in early to mid-2011.
